IM: You are also a professional dancer; can you tell us a bit about your training? Simran: I started dancing when I was 6 years old. I used to perform in my school and since then I started taking classes so that I could
groom myself properly. Slowly I started going for competitions for
city, state and national levels. I did my training under Alisha Singh
(Dance India Dance season 1). Then I did a reality show for DD national
(Close up Bharat Ki Shaan Let's Dance) and was declared as the winner
of the show in 2014. I danced professionally for 5 years. I am trained
in Bollywood, contemporary, hip hop, jazz funk, classical, semi classic
and many more. Dancing has been a great support for me throughout. IM: What has been the best / wort experience you have had in your career as a model and a dancer? Simran: Modeling
and dancing have got me so many opportunities in life till now which
has helped me a lot in building my profile. Every moment when I perform and work with different types of people gives me the best experiences ever. And on the other hand, if
I talk about the worst experience, then there is no such bad experience
in my career till now as I take everything in a positive way which
helps me learn so many things and help me grow as a person as well as
an artist or performer. IM: What do you love the most about being in front of the camera? Simran: I
love it when I get to express my inner self in front of the camera. I
love to perform and play different kind of roles as it becomes a
challenge to play someone else's character which is totally different
from your personality. I love challenges. IM: How would you describe your personal style? Simran: It
would sound cliché but I totally love it
when I am in my most comfortable clothes. I wear
what I like and what suits my body type. I am not much of an
accessories person but I like to experiment with my clothes. |
